Hello from NYC!

Postby MsManic » Tue Aug 21, 2012 11:39 am

Hi there, looking for like-minded folks. I have bipolar 2 disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I lean towards to depressive side of bipolar tho so it makes my nickname ironic, I know. But I'm registered with a couple other forums as MsManic so I'm keeping it consistent. I'm a married mom of 1 and have a typically low stress, boring office job that is driving me mad but I am happy to have it nonetheless. I know a lot of people out there are looking for work but can't find it so I empathize and keep things in perspective. Anyway, nice to have found you all here. Hope I can chat with some of you. :)

From the big apple eh? Why the hell do they call it that? Do you all speak like on tv lol "new yoik" it sounds like to me! I have been to York in England, but your version seems more exciting somehow.

Hello MsManic :)

I completely understand having some bipolar tendencies but yet not experience the "manic" part. I am in a similar situation. It always amazes me how sometimes everything is okay at the moment but still you feel depressed. Congrats on your little person (1 year old), I know im a bit late but either way I commend you for battling your condition daily and taking care of your child, that takes a lot of strength. Keep on truckin as they say!

Not sure if this is a to private to ask but is your husband understanding of your condition and helps out in building that relationship. Its not so much even understand, but accepting!

Good Luck
