My Story Part 1 (may be triggering)

Postby emmaceleste » Tue Mar 06, 2012 5:36 pm

My life was absolutely perfect, at first. Sometimes I would get in trouble for little things, I was just a little kid, it was normal. I had a best friend, I had barbies, and I had parents who loved me more than anything. We lived in a beautiful house on a lake, had extravagent birthdays and various parties, and priceless moments together.
I remember a few small fights, but there was one in particular that shut down the sparkling light in all of our eyes. I remember that day, as I watched my father throwing my mom's luggage over our fence into the neighbors yard, screaming at the top of his lungs.
So my mom & I moved away, my father re-married my now-stepmom, who didnt seem to care for me too much for whatever reason.
In the meantime, my mom took much of her stress out on me, being a single parent and all.
I had to switch schools just before 3rd grade, and it wasn't the same at my new school. I didn't have my close friends that I had grown up with. I made a few new friends, but then as my mom decided to move, I kept having to switch schools. I was always the "new girl." 7th grade, a supposed 'friend' at my new school, slammed me into a hallway locker. From that point on, I escaped by reading various R.L. Stein books.
One day, while my mom & I were in the car, she said "Wouldn't it be fun to live in Las Vegas?" Me, being the 12-year-old, adventerous girl that I was, said, "Of course!!" And although at first I thought she was just kidding, moments later I realized I was about to move to Las Vegas with her, very soon. My father was devastated and brainwashed me for the rest of the weekend that I stayed over. By the end of the weekend, I was convinced that the only reason my mom was moving there with me was so that she could Prostitute.
I refused to go home with her that night, but after the Police came & left, she drove home, me screaming at her all the way home.
That was the only time I ever remember my stepmom hugging me.
From age 5-12, my mom and I fought a lot. I remember one particular time I told her I wanted to "kill myself," so she reached for a chef knife to wave in front of my face as she smiled and said "Do it. Go on, kill yourself."
The dark moments became darker after age 12, when I moved to Las Vegas....
