A poem i read when i was in this cafe in Vietnam. i really like it
Strip off your camouflage- Xin Ru
For you, my love
I shuttle from yearning to yearning
Like a snowflake in whirlwind.
But what makes you wear the camouflage?
-With the camouflage
You look so vicious, so unnerving
But beyond the mask
I clearly see your face as pale are paper
And as fragile as glass
I am a woman who fears camouflage
But i am entangled by you
Your sorrow, your grief
Like wind, or rain, or mist
Or the torrent in primeval times
Press me from all round
I am ensnared, i am lost.
Oh, my dear, so
We are. So lonely and yet so obstinate
If not in this life,
Then in what time
Can you flutter to me
Having trampled my fate after the twelfth night.
How lovely the sun,
Sound of budding flowers and fruit,
Rushes to us from everywhere in the world.
If you are cold
I will smash my bones
To light a bonfire for you.
Please strip your camouflage my dear.
Then we can lie on the same grass
In the sun, like two babies
In swaddling
Beautiful and clean.
