I'm feeling helpless I don't know what to do
I have recently been struggling with major depression and it keeps on getting worse I don't know how much longer I can take this and I know that if I don't get help then I don't think I can last much longer. I really do want to get help but every time I try and tell my mom that I have been struggling with this and I want help it's like the words just can't come out of my mouth that im depressed it's pretty much impossible I just can't say it I don't know what to do I'm feeling pretty helpless
Hello,
Sad to hear of one so young to be suffering this dreadful illness.
I don't have any easy answers I'm afraid but wanting help is what must drive you to tell your Mom.
You've said it keeps on getting worse and that's how it works. You need to see a doctor which meanhstalking to your Mom. Or you could write it down if you want.
The sooner you do that the sooner you get real help by seeing that doctor.
Good luck.

Go someplace where it's quiet and you feel safe. Write it all down. Get it all out on paper. This will help in two ways. One, it gets everything down and helps you to organise what you want to say and how you can say it. Two, You can give it to your momm and believe me, it will open a lot of doors to getting communication going if she bothers to read it.
Second, when you do talk to your mom, start off with "I'm in trouble and i need your help". It will instantly put them in "parent" mode and want to help their child.
This is best case scenarios here. It may not go this easily. But it's a start.
