Feeling Lonely

Postby Jaymn » Mon Dec 27, 2010 4:50 pm

Everybody probably has gone through this and maybe now are going through this. How do you deal with it and/or help it?
I sometimes feel like I can't get a positive reaction out of people when I feel lonely. It's like they don't take anything serious that I say. Maybe it's my facial expression or lack of interest? It's almost like I get ignored and no one cares sort of. Like I feel no love from anyone but idk, It's hard to explain exactly...
This is one of my main problems I'm dealing with right now. And, I hope it won't/hasn't allowed me to make any bad decision. I wish I could find what would relieve it or take it way...

Sometimes what we see isn't really what is there. It's like the depression creates this fog and distorts things and we end up with a distorted point of view. Sorry you feel this way though.

I'm a little better. I just feel like I don't want to be around anyone now. I get easily irritated around people. I think severe depression is starting to hit...

I will just encourage you in this: When you don't feel so much on edge, ask yourself what is triggering you.

Take care! Take care! Take care!

Reading your post was like a big exhale for me or maybe a giant hug from you. What I mean is I feel the exact same way a lot of the time and then I feel guilty for feeling that way because I know it is the depression that is warping my view and then unfortunately the feeling comes back and envelops me.. Depression/Anxiety/ Depression/ Anxiety – it is exhausting . I cannot say I have an answer with how to magically make this feeling go away because I still deal with it a lot myself however two things I can tell you - You are not alone and that the feeling will eventually pass so in the mean time, take a deep breath and exhale. You are a good person. My thoughts are with you and I hope you are feelings a little better today.

Thank You Crystalgaze and BeautifulDisatr for your posts.

BeautifulDisatr, I am feeling a little better today. I seen my therapist Monday then went to a 'self esteem' type of class yesterday. I know I can't take it away or that anyone may have some magical answer. I just need a little advice/help for this. You and Crystalgaze have been helpful with that. Thanks.

You are very welcome and THANK YOU – Just as we are here for you, realize your post (You) are here for us. We all share these same feelings in our own way, which only we (as individuals) can experience and deal with, yet knowing we are not alone in this web of overwhelming emotions is somehow comforting and empowering (at least for me it is). Being I am surrounded by love ones yet choking on the feelings and thoughts of aloneness, confusion, despondency and abandonment most of the day (everyday). Though there are no easy answers or a quick fix; I am so glad to hear you are going to therapy and taking the steps necessary to improve the emotions, thoughts and feelings that have such tremendous power that affect us.

Sending you more hugs...

one little step at a time...
