What I like about Dr. Kim is how diversified he is. I think that is a great quality. He has a book on motivation that I like with little sayings, as well as a DVD with breathing exercises that I find interesting. (etc.)
As for Mr. Dacascos, I liked that he came out of his comfort zone and was on Dancing with the Stars. That's also a quality I like & would like to do more of, so it's inspiring. I'm also a Crow fan... so I love how he internalized his role in Stairway to Heaven....
(I would love to learn martial arts one day!)
Regarding Ms. Rice, I like her style for the most part. When she was in the White House, how she dressed, especially for press-related events, was usually immaculate. I also admire her musical ability. (She can play a piano!) There are other things, too.

Okaay, in no particular order and just off the top of my head...
Franklin Delano Roosevelt,
Sophie Scholl, Hans Scholl, Kurt Huber, Christoph Probst, Willi Graf, and the other members of the White Rose group in Nazi Germany in the Second World War,
Winston Churchill, ( Despite my not agreeing with the 19th century Imperialist aspects of his world view). Who, ( Almost certainly being a depressive himself, and therefore " one of us " ), not only played a huge part in leading Britain to victory in the Second World War, but also proved that just because someone experiences depression that doesn't stop them from " kicking ass and taking names "!
And, I'd probably have to say most Americans. As a university graduate I would say that I have a fair knowledge of American history, ( For a non-American. ), and I believe that I am at least fairly aware of America's shortcomings. ( And, we WON'T mention that instance a couple of centuries ago, when a group of strangely dressed malcontents threw a rather juvenile " temper tantrum " in Boston harbour, and ruined a lot of perfectly good tea!!!!
)
So the United States isn't perfect by a long chalk. ( But, then again, what country is?
) And, like a lot of Europeans, George W. Bush certainly wasn't my favourite person in all the world! 
However, when I think of the U.S., my first thoughts are of the U.S. and it's citizens at their best.
The " doughboys " who helped my country win the First World War, and the GI's who helped my country win the Second. The Declaration of Independence, ( OK, be independent, be that way, your loss!
) the Bill of Rights, and the Marshall Plan and the Atlantic alliance that did so much to rebuild and defend Western Europe after 1945 .The U.S. with all it's faults, sometimes grievous ones, but still in so many ways " an awesome and magnificent land of freedom ", with all it's possibilities too...

Obayan comes from a story from my heritage about a woman who showed amazing strength and fortitude. She is my #1 hero. Hence, why I took that name here. I wanted a connection to someone as amazingly strong as her.
My husband was a bonafied war hero from viet nam. I have the medals on his memorial to prove it. He was strong, witty, compassionate. A soldier who defended his country and a man who loved his family. An amazing man and I'm gratefull to have been a part of his life.
For a fictional character... I would say Julia Sugarbaker from the show Designing Women. A true lady and southern bell but a definate sence of right and wrong and wasn't afraid to stand up for what was right.

I would have to start off with the men and women that believe in the Arm Forces. Willing and unselfishly stepping up, putting their lives on the line, to protect and defend their beliefs, country and families. Giving us one of the greatest gifts, freedom.
Men: More at home with this one. Some in my life that guided me, loved me and gave me memories to live on.
Women: Again, on a personal line, teaching me that loving someone can cause pain, yet, making me see without doing just that will cheat me of emotions that, good or bad, must be lived.
No need to type the names, you wouldn't know them, but they are very much embedded in my heart.
Fictional: So many come to mind, but the ones that teach a lesson that needs to be taught, in some manner. For the fictional is in reality the thoughts of someone real.

I really,really,really admire and want to meet Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. It is actually painful for me that it is so hard to get to them,makes me feel worse about myself, it's one of my biggest wishes in life.
I admire and love them both for their talent,their personalities,the fact that they are "real" people with good and bad and they don't hide it like others do. Their friendship and the friendships they have with people like Emma Thompson,people they met in university and with whom they maintained wonderful relationships filled with respect and love,that says a lot about a person. I also admire them for fighting with their emotional/mental weaknesses since they both suffer from severe depressions,Fry is bi-polar and very involved in fighting against the social stigmas associated with such affections. I don't know,there are tons of things I truly love and respect about these 2 amazing gentlemen
