panic attacks in the car. Ugh.

Postby daffodilly » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:14 pm

today I am driving to texas with my husband & children. I am struggling with being in the car for so long. Everyone is arguing and I have no where to get away from everything. I am truly going crazy in here. I had a panic attack earlier & my husband wouldn't stop the car. I really thought I was going to pass out or have a heart attack or something.

I am writing on here trying to focus on something other than smothering in here. Wishing I could actually connect with someone to distract me.

someone please say something.

Sorry you are going through this. Wish I could make things different for you. Count cars, music, anything to distract you??

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, hope that is all right.

I finally pretended to sleep. Focused on breathing. Thankyou for responding. Just knowing someone understands helps. More than you realize. My husband just doesn't get it. Of course, I am very private and have a hard time sharing how I'm feeling. Thankyou again.

my doctor told me something about progressive relaxation. I lost the paper he gave me so I haven't been able to use that. Does anyone have experience with that?

Hopefully you will manage the trip. Once back try calling the doctor's office and see if you can get that material again? Just a thought.

Take care, best you can, in thoughts.
