Finding a mate outside of your country
I thought about this alot. I mean, so many people(girls) here where I live, are not the type of people I want to meet. Litterally! I'm not saying all of them are but most have problems(into bad things). And it's like that everywhere you go? Is it hard to find a decent person? But I see people in different countrys, people i've met were so much different and so nice. I'm not sterotyping. What is your opinion on this? Would you travel to another country to find someone? But first look into were you would like to go. Learn the languages. And enjoy the stay.

I don't think that your post is strange or weird. Perhaps people haven't replied because, perhaps like myself, they don't get to access the 'net as often as they might like?
Anyway, in my humble-and-extremely-untutored opinion of such things...
I'm rather of the opinion that, to borrow a phrase from the film Frankie and Johnie, " People are people ". I'm of the opinion that people are pretty much the same, mostly good and some bad, wherever you might go. I haven't met " the girl of my dreams " in Wales, or anywhere else in the UK. But, I can't say that I really feel that I would have any more chance of finding a partner in France or Finland, or Peru or Canada.
I suppose the best advice I can give you is to wish you good luck in finding a good, kind someone, in whatever time or part of the world you might do so...

Jaymn, you may notice (edited for content) in your post. This was done because we have underage posters who come here and must keep in mind the respect rules and act accordingly.
Such wide generalizations are never a good idea. You will find good and bad people no matter where you go in this world. I think if those are the kinds of people you are running into then maybe you need to find a different way of meeting people. You can google an interest you have and search for groups that share similar interests in your area. Or you can join a church group. There are many types of youth groups out there that are always looking for active members and voluteers.

If you like to travel and have the money to do so, then by all means go. If you don't have the money, then you might still be able to go, if you do a Fulbright or something like that.
I think that it is best not to travel just to search for a mate. My main reasons are things such as language barriers, cultural differences that I may not be able to understand or tolerate, possible differences in religion and so on.... unless the two people involved like decide to not talk about certain things/call a truce and don't mind that the other does according to their beliefs.
Why not try a different town/county/city?? That's just a thought. If it's a school thing, why not a different university? Library? Why not a different library? Coffee shop? Why not try a different one? ???

Hi Jay
Searching for that special person takes time and effort but when u do find her it worth it. Nothing wrong with looking for someone outside your country. Just be careful not to fall for those people who are there for the money. You can go to dating sites or if you have friends in another countries they can help you find a good, decent, honest and loving person. Goodluck in your search. Hope you find the best. God bless.
