Greetings all;
I'm a 55 year old man who has been seen as permantly disabled by doctors, lawyers and an administrative law judge.
I have diabetes, sever depression and a below the knee amputation of my left leg. The amputation came as a result of gangrene. Had I not had the amputation when I did, the medical team told me I had less than 24 hours to live.
I'm in a wheelchair and don't get out very much. I play with my dog and have a roommate that takes care of me.

Hello. I read this and was almost floored. My husband had diabeties. He was a left leg amputee, neuopathy, retinopathy, lupus, cancer, and kidney failure. He passed away not long ago from massive heart attack. I took care of him for a long time before he passed. I know what you are going thru. I love the laughter in your voice as you type. Welcome to our home.

Welcome to the forums. I can relate with you, to a point, I have depression and diabetes, and no, not a fun combination.
Many chatters here, to give support, so please make this your home, share your thoughts and feelings with us, it does help to release these and even nicer to have others that do understand.
Hope to hear from you again soon.... take care
