A man lives on the tenth floor of a building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator - or if it was raining that day - he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the seventh floor and walks up three flights of stairs to his apartment.
Why?
Work this out.

How is it that he wasn't leaving foot prints behind?
I think he was walking reversely (I mean he was walking to his behind) and when he look behind he supposed to see no foot prints as he didn't walked on there yet.

Domenico,
That was my thought too.
To give a reason you could say that the time of day was in the afternoon/evening so the man didn't want to be looking into the sun.
Best chance for survival in the desert is to sleep in the shade and walk at night ... You will be dehydrated no matter what you do, but you lose less water at night.
I like your Avatar ... a dual latte jet.
