Good morning everyone

Postby teapIease » Tue Feb 16, 2010 10:43 pm

"Morning? But it's 3am!" I woke up at midnight today as usual. It's not insomnia because I can sleep as much as I want. I could go to sleep now and wake up at a more normal time if I wanted... but I thought maybe joining a community where I can talk to people who will help me feel better about myself would be a more productive use of my time.

So hi. I was in the chat room earlier, I didn't really say much but you all seem like a nice bunch and it made me want to join. I think I need something like this. People to talk to. Someone in the chat room (I think it was Mary) mentioned those extremely rare honest conversations where you can talk about anything and I haven't had one of those in years because I've had no one to have them with. Hopefully this can change.

Welcome to the site. I hope you find it as helpful as I do. Although, I so far, haven't found a library that opens at 3:00 AM! ( I access the internet through the public library system. )

oh crap my username didn't work properly! i accidentally put the wrong email address in and couldn't verify 'teaplease' so i figured an upper case I would look like an l and nobody would notice. damn. i get stupidly depressed at silly little things like that sometimes.

anyway thanks for the welcome, i know a 24 hour library near me but it's a bit of a walk from wales

oh and you'd need a student card to get in at night but the internet is wireless so i guess you could sit outside with a laptop :P

If the weather is warm enough in your part of the world to sit outside buildings at night, you really are a long way away from Wales. It's still a bit.....chilly.....in Wales!
Although, as someone prone to insomnia, I quite like the idea of a 24 hour library. I used to be a student, so I might be able to bluff and/or bore my way in.........!

Hi,

With our high supposed to be -6C today, I don't think that I would be sitting outside a building for very long today. Better than the -40 that we experienced a month ago.

Glad that you have found this place where you can post, and let things go.

I know that often for me if I keep things locked up inside I feel so much of a relief when I finally let all those dark thoughts out.

I am also grateful that I have this forum to let those thoughts out, in a safe place.

Hope you find it safe too.

Take care
