I really commend you for taking the step towards exercising, Gaze. I too have jumped on the diet and exercise bandwagon. I have an exercise bike in my house, and while winter roars its ugly head here in New Jersey, I am using it. When the weather gets better, I fully intend on using my outside bike. Well done, Gaze!!!
I know you are looking for the burn, I do as well, but please remember that us just getting off of our butts and doing some physical fitness counts a million! The burn will be there tomorrow... good on you for mixing it up - helps you stay motivated, I say.

I started walking again... It's been raining here a bit, so I've not gone in a while.
I am hoping to go again soon or maybe start on the porch.... It's clean for now, but it gets dusty so quickly since we live near the road....
I'm in the middle of cleaning, so I'm hoping to get the back room together or so, especially for the rainy days. I do wish I had more space, but alas, it is not so right now....

Envy you on the walking, LOL. I miss it and hopefully will be able to start wearing shoes soon, then I will get back to it. Even convinced a neighbor to start walking with me when the time comes.
You are a busy one. Anything to keep busy and get exercise is a good thing. Right now cleaning is next to impossible. With the work being done on the outside of my home, it seems a losing battle. Don't know how so much can get in the inside of the house, but it is.
Well that is exercise, cleaning, cleaning and then cleaning again.

Awesome with the exercise. Thats terrific. You are off on a good start.
I started last fall with walking and gradually worked up to a couple of miles. Then I joined a class set after the Biggest Looser TV series. It took me several month and some determination and I was able to gain strength, stamina, and loose weight. The class was a great atmosphere where we all supported each other and had some fun at the same time. It was offered through a local community center.
It all started with walking and going slowly, gradually increasing distance and duration over time. It does not matter what the exercise is,.., as long as one gets moving. Frequently I do not want to exercise because I am too tired, too depressed, too anxious or whatever. When I force myself to do it, even for a short amount of time, I feel better afterwards. When I don't do it, I always wish I had.
Keep it up.
