today has been quite good actually, very sunny and most of the ice has melted. the kids at nursery are all excited about xmas, and you know what, it's kinda catching, whose heart wouldn't be warmed by a 2 yr old telling you that Santa AND Peter Pan are coming to their house?!!! had another dentist appointment that i managed to get to in time this time and a prescription for antibiotics so hopefully it'll be a bit better by xmas day. my IBS doesn't take too kindly to antibiotics though so i am taking them very reluctantly...

So Mich, you like Marmite - I salute you! I love it. I have some on toast most days

well done ken and fran for getting your xmas shopping done, it's such a stressful job. the IBS is definitely taking a pounding already, just 3 doses of antibiotics and already i am getting agonising stabbing stomach pains and thought i would never get off the toilet this morning. nice. well it's not been such a bad day otherwise, work was quite nice, all the kids are so looking forward to xmas. then i met a friend and she treated me to lunch as a xmas present as she knows how poor i've been lately which was nice. then me and mark did the last few bits of xmas food shopping and it wasn't too bad, there is a little Somerfield which is about the only supermarket i don't get panicky in as it always seems to be pretty quiet. now i've just wrapped up all mark's presents and am feeling quite ready and peaceful

i bet you would like fran she to has a wicked sense of humour like yours

Hi Lisa - I am sorry your IBS is acting badly. I often wonder if my daughter has that....I should research on the internet....she gets wicked stomach aches which bring her to tears. Doctor has never really mentioned it as a possibility.
I am glad the little ones lifted up your Christmas spirit. They are so precious.

today is going quite well, was a bit tearful and in pain this morning but have managed to get through it. was genuinely excited swapping presents with mark, our xmas dinner was a success and then we went for our traditional walk along the seafront, it is so amazing at sunset...the beautiful colours, the starlings swooping around in huge groups around brighton pier...it is very peaceful and humbling. my cats were delighted to tuck into bowls of real chicken chopped up in gravy. now mark is happy as a pig in poo watching the doctor who xmas special and i am happy as i am writing to my friends.
