Cravings + Guilty Pleasures

Postby crystalgaze » Thu Oct 01, 2009 1:42 am

that come back to bite you in the _____________.

Well... Yesterday, I was a little stressed out that I took to the bottle.... Don't worry I won't be doing it again in a good LONG while. It was a different brand of white zinfandel than the one that my Mom usually gets.

Apparently, I just can't drink any more at all, so this experiment was good for letting me know my limitations. I am such a lightweight lush!

I felt fine until today. I was super sluggish. I don't wanna do that again.

I've also been craving sweets/food I don't usually eat or that I haven't eaten in a long while.

A snack the other day was: strips of turkey bacon, cheese + something to drink.

I also had a caffeine free coke.... (I don't usually drink soda.)

I was craving eggs the other day but didn't follow through with it.

The sweets damage was a Milky way bar, jam, vanilla ice cream, honey, + these lemonade ice pops (on different days).

I feel a little more in control right this minute.... I actually wouldn't mind a chicken caesar salad right now.

Edit: I forgot to mention why I took to the bottle yesterday. I was on the phone with Dell for about 3 hrs.... trying to see if I could get my laptop fixed. I got transferred all over the place 'cause most of whom I got were unable to access what they need to help. It was terrible. I am going to see what will happen.....

I have been craving dark chocolate lately. I always used to be a milk chocolate gal but I gave dark chocolate another try a few weeks ago and now I am hooked. I have an eating disorder and can only allow myself the tiniest of pieces and I feel incredibly guilty afterwards but somehow I still consume it.

((((((((((((((( crystalgaze ))))))))))))))))))))

We all deal with the 'craving' thing. For me, it is better to have a taste of thing craving then to try to ignore. When the ignoring goes too long, well that is when I get into trouble.

There are time I do crave meat, but I am not suppose to eat meat. Medical problem kind of thing. When I get the scent of the neighbors grilling out, that is when I have the biggest problem. Want to sneak over and raid their grill while they are inside. LOL.

Some of the foods you listed aren't really bad for you.

Take care

Really hard when you have an allergy and eating out. So much is in the foods that we just don't realize.

Doesn't pay for me to eat Chinese. I like it, but it doesn't like me, so in the long run it isn't worth the effort.

Crystalgaze - I hope you were able to enjoy some of the foods in your order. I have to be careful with the "heat" of foods too....I like a little spice but too much does me in.

Love the spices but as so many, the spices do not like me. Darn!

I have a new guilty pleasure, but it is not TOO TOO guilty! :D

It's Haagen Dazs' mango sorbet or almost any kind of sorbet!!! Yes, I can finally eat Haagen Dazs & not worry about it too much.... The calories for the serving size is 110 kcal vs the 260 kcal for a pint of Haagen Dazs Vanilla.... :D

I lost a little weight close to 10lbs... 8 to be exact... but seemed to regain some.... Even with regaining some, I finally got off of that plateau I was on for about a year....

Kettle Potato Chips Lightly Salted (The crunch is amazing!)

Antonio's macaroni (Antonio's is a local restaurant, probably one of the few places where you can get decent/great macaroni--apart from making your own! ~LOL~ He knows the way to my heart! )

Brady's coleslaw (Brady's is a local restaurant.)

Yogurt or yogurt whips (yes, even the probiotic kind)

2+2's fried chicken (but I heard the BIG BOSS does some good fried chicken) {2+2 is also a local restaurant.}

Oh yeah! I can't forget my alfalfa sprouts with ranch dressing! ;)

Vanilla Yogurt with M+ M's

Wendy's baked potato with an order of chili!

Plum Wine Knock-up! Mix some Gekkeikan Kobai Plum with Sin Zin [Red] Zinfandel (takes the tartness off the Sin Zin & I get a fruitier wine to drink)

Applesauce!

Subway wraps!

I haven't had a real craving in a while.... but lately I have been liking these dark chocolate covered peppermint patty sugar free type things....

There's no Splenda (sucralose) in it.... no aspartame.... no... um... what's that other one called again.... geh.... I can't believe I forgot!

However, there's maltitol or something like that.... I'll probably research it later. I'm not sure whether it's harmful or what.

My strange craving at the moment is soup. Silly I know, but that's it. Eat some candy for me, please. :)

I ate the candy, but now my odd craving is coconut water, or rather coconut drink/beverage.... (e.g. colatino, cocoloto, etc.)

It's hilarious to me!

Boy Craziness

Postby Partslig » Tue Oct 19, 2010 2:36 pm

I have a love hate relationship with men. I literally can't live with them. On multiple occasions I've tried with my tail of the household father in my life but for the vast majority of my life other tenets of my residence have been female and I live with five currently. They're boldly alluring with solid structures caressing like white rapids a tall handsome frame. Alas, an oil spill dilutes this breathtaking sight by sludge of seven ugly pounds. They're like the worst kind of junk food! Similar to how you loose guilt over cookies following loyalty to a gym when I am fit and shapely I discover my lust even more unsubdued, but crying when I'm saddle by manic depression over some handsome prince's rescue is even worse especially after others have seen your carefree lewdness.
