Saw someone say something interesting

So I was on christian TikTok and I don't remember what the original post was about but one of the comments made me feel a little light and happy. Someone talked about how Moses and Abraham felt safe enough to negotiate with God, and how that in itself is a testament as to how gentle and kind He must be. And I agree to be honest. Someone else pointed out when Cain gave God sass when he was asked where Able was and the only way he could've felt comfortable enough to do that would be if God has a gentle, sort of welcoming way of speech.

I was reading in genesis where Abraham tricked king Abimelech into believing Sarah(Abraham's wife) was his sister. Since the king thought Sarah was single, he took her as his wife. Now God thought this was wrong, so He calmly told the king that Sarah was already taken, and that if he didn't return her, he would face some consequences.

At this point I thought, 'well it's not his fault Abraham lied to him, why is he getting in trouble?' The king told God that he didn't know what he did was wrong and God acknowledges that, and was patient with Him. Even the way he speaks in the bible, meaning his word choice, sounds gentle, calm, and fatherly.

Anyways, this made me relieved to know that the God I know isnt some crazy tyrant. He didn't immediately punish Him, he heard him and let him say his piece.
And I think that just about sums up who God is.

By the way, no, God didn't end up punishing him.
