Sweet memories

The joy that come
From memories long since past
Are just that, memories
They sit in the back of our minds
Like ghosts they are transparent,
Oh to go back in time
And relive the sweet memories again
The memories of fun
The memories of childhood
Of friends and family
But all good things come to an end
And so they become, just sweet memories.


Swimming

I am swimming around in the ocean of my thoughts
But alas I don’t know how do swim
The thoughts consume me
Like water in the lungs of a drowning man
They pull me to the bottom
Like there are weights wrapped around me
There seems no way out of this permanent tomb
Sinking, sinking,
Further and further
The darkness draws near
Unconsciousness is inevitable
Here it comes…
My last breath…
But wait…
All there is, is my ocean of thoughts
Drowning me in their presence
There is no last breath
Or any goodbyes
The thoughts have won
And the pain gets worse
So I slowly slip into unconsciousness
And the pain begins to ease
I lost the fight
And I lost my life
I can’t reach the shore
The darkness is here…
