Hello!!

I've had a name on here for a couple of months now but I've been quietly reading and gaining strength and insite from all the lovely people around here. But today, I felt the over whelming need to come in and say Hi.

So looking forward to meeting and getting to know you all! :)

Hi Dazed -
I can certainly relate to your trepidation about coming right out in the open and talking to us. But just know that we all have felt that way at some point. I personally fell into an abyss recently and haven't gotten on to talk to anyone for a couple of weeks. There are some really nice people here. We will take care of you.

IT DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby Aurelia5 » Wed May 20, 2009 9:54 pm

I accidentally hit some key - I don't know which - and it went back to the beginning of the thread and my letter to Aim was gone. Another good letter wiped out.

I was thanking her for welcoming me back.

Screw this. The programmers need to fix it so it doesn't delete everything you've written if you accidentally hit the enter key or whatever it is.

I'll write again some day when I'm not so mad.

(((((A))))) None of that matters... we are all just glad to have you back; hope you continue to stick around.

Wonder what button it was that you did push?

Aurelia, I can certainly relate to the problems of spending the time writing a "what I would hope is thoughtful post" and then somehow I lose it.

I don't know if I just have to wait until one of my kids gives me a call and ask them for their advice.
Actually I do have a few friends in the city that may help. I just don't easily ask people for help. My kids already know how completely computer illiterate I am.

I can be frustrating, though I am getting a lot faster in my typing since I seem to have to type messages twice once in a while. I must be doing something differently because it doesn't seem to happen as often.

For me I think that I sometime spend too much time typing a particular message, and my computer timed out on me.

Though I know it is a major irritant I hope that you keep posting, look forward to hearing what is happening with you, and also the very sage advice tha you give to others.

You are a big assest to us.

Speaking as someone from the so-called computer generation, it still gets difficult for me sometimes! I think you all are doing great, and it's been my absolute pleasure to get to know you all!!!

I think that I get so much from being a part of this forum, that is why I type so many messages twice. Admittedly, I am getting better.

I get notification when there is a message added to a thread that I have been following, and must admit that it is like (in the olden days) when I would find a letter from a friend waiting for me when I got home from school.

Haven't heard too much from you lately, Dazed. Hope things are going ok.

Thank you all for being patient while I melted down over the idiosyncracies of this forum's programing. I don't know what I hit, but one time I tried preview, and wiped out my letter. So what is preview for anyway?

I sometimes have a short, hot temper when a mere piece of electronics won't do what I tell it to.

It shows how truly kind and supportive you people really are, putting up with my tirades -

Dazed - if you're there, come say hi.

Sorry that you aren't feeling well today, Ken.

It was a very hot day here yesterday (western Canada). I have never been a big fan of the heat, and on Saturday I think that I got sunstroke.

Laid pretty low today, and drank a lot of fluids.

Was pretty uncomfortable last night, but am looking forward to a good night's sleep.
