I was sentenced to 4 months in jailfor the DUI I went in in July and got out in October 13 I was so scared that I was going to loses everything my wife reassured Me that we would get though this and we could do this. Well that couldn't have been farther from the truth on September 17 (my birthday) I received a letter from my wife telling me she was leaving me. Now I'm out of jail with nothing no home no car no money and no family, I'm at a lost On what to do I have lost everything I lay awake at night thinking about how much better it would be to just end it all my family was my hole life and now they are gone I have know one to talk to at all I'm alone with nothing
Hello Brandon,
Please don't feel alone, you can always come here and somebody will listen.
I am sorry to hear what you are going through, I can't even imagine what it must be like for you.
I am surprised that your wife could just drop you like that when she told you that you'll both get through this. What happened to the wedding vows she took? Talk about jumping ship when the tide gets rough, I'm sorry that I'm talking about her like this but is this someone worth keeping if they can't stick with you through thick and thin? Has she even thought about what she is putting the kids through?
I guess its upto you if she is worth fighting for. If not, then you should start moving on and get your life back together when you feel ready. I know it has only been a month since you received that letter so it must still feel pretty raw, take as much time as you need and let things sink in. When you have come to terms with what is happening, take steps to build your life back up again.
Where are you staying now? Is there a job you can go to? Focus on your immediate problems for now, make a bit of money and get back on your feet first. I know it must be overwhelming but you can do this, just take one step at a time.
