That the Night won't Forget

I move forwards,
And I learn,
I lean towards,
And I push, I strive,
Determination keeps me alive.

But hanging in my mind,
I see his face,
In the corner of my eye,
Like the ghost I cannot erase,
That the night won't forget.

I am free,
I look,
And I see,
I deliver and produce,
Fascination has made a truce.

Though through every windscreen,
I see his eyes,
In the corner of my mind,
As smoke will rise,
That the night won't forget.

I am still,
I listen,
For the sound of my will,
Can be my moment,
Annunciation be my constant.

Where he has stayed,
Within my being,
I feel him fade,
I offer up my nightmare,
That the night won't forget.
