I have had depression for a long time and never wanted to deal with it as family said there was nothing wrong! But in the last 4 years it has gotten worse to where I want to just walk away from my life. In 2009 my husband was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Prostate Cancer. Had surgery in 2009 but that loving feeling has gone. The cancer spread to his lymph nodes so they are chemically castrating him for the rest of his life. NO kind of hugging or caressing any more! I tried to tell him that is what I need but he is not feeling it any more. This is not how it is suppose to be!!!
Then in 2011 I went blind in one eye from migraines for 45 years. It caused my retina to detach the surgeon who repaired the tear in left one said that there is an 80% chance the right one will not get sight back. Do not like those odds. Plus the left one a buckle was put in but is has caused a ridge in my eye. So my depression is getting deeper and deeper! I have told my sons that I was given a cane to use for me to get around but they said I don't need it. it is all in my head that I can not see. I wish it was the case!!! Now I stay in the house!
In 2013 my first trip to Washington, DC I took a SPILL on Capitol Hill and broke my leg! I fell off the curb as judging is a huge issue now. I applied for disability but was denied as I have not worked long enough in my work history!
I give up!!!!
feeling hopeless

All of those health problems are crazy, sad, ridiculous. I feel for what you're going through, what your husband is going through, and what you both as a couple are suffering through! Really...I'm truly at a loss for words...
Did you have a lawyer when you applied for disability? I was turned down twice- until I found a competent attorney. Lol. Most people are rejected when applying by themselves. I mean, there are even people with cancer who are turned down for disability!!
Don't give up. Get yourself (and your husband?) an attorney who doesn't charge unless you win. That is the kind I have, and they work extra hard to obtain the benefits that you surely deserve! Good luck to you.
