Carefree days of youth.
Twilight hours. Misty intrigue.
Friends who bid farewell.
Lessons we did learn.
Creatures caught, through much time sought-
Love meant setting free.
Innocence is gone
And more precious to forgo;
Childhood comes but once.
Buried long by time
She resonates through my soul,
Little girl I know.
Twilight hours. Misty intrigue.
Friends who bid farewell.
Lessons we did learn.
Creatures caught, through much time sought-
Love meant setting free.
Innocence is gone
And more precious to forgo;
Childhood comes but once.
Buried long by time
She resonates through my soul,
Little girl I know.

I went to edit the above poem, but my phone suddenly went black on me. When I came back to this page, I no longer saw the EDIT box. Here's a small change I'd like to make to the end of the poem:
Buried deep in time
She resonates through my soul,
Little girl I know.
Attempting to write Haiku, some of my poems are becoming something longer than I planned!
Buried deep in time
She resonates through my soul,
Little girl I know.
Attempting to write Haiku, some of my poems are becoming something longer than I planned!
