The Enemy Within

I didnt know how i got on the deck of the Aircraft carrier ,but i knew i had a feeling of great fear .I knew my loved ones were so very far away and i was sure i would not see them again ,
the crew were running around the deck and aircraft filled the sky ,how did i get here and what did it mean ,I was struck by a blinding light ,so intense i could feel the heat ,when i was able to open my eyes i could see the mushroom cloud way in the distance ,i closed my eyes and said goodbye to my loved ones as i waited for the blast wave to end this horror,
As i opened my eyes i could feel the warmth of Frans body close to mine ,
I gently put my arm around her and wept Quietly, calm in the knowledge that everyone was safe and my subconcious mind had let me return to reality .
But i was there ,it took a while to become free of the feeling of loss i had felt on that ship so far away ,and what about the crew ,were they all victims of this nightmare to,did we share the event ,This nightmare is in my memory ,as much as real events in my life .
I have so much to be grateful for ,and im blessed with such a loving Wife and two Daughters .
But i will always fear the enemy within ,After all it knows everything i do or think !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
