What happened

We were best friends one minute. He would treat me like the most loved person in the world like running up out of nowhere and giving me a surprise hug, pulling me under his too big jacket and wrapping his arms around me tight then the next moment he would walk off like nothing happened and I was a nobody. When we would text we would talk for hours and talk about a lot and when we face timed he would take off his shirt and poke fun at me if I blushed but in front of anyone else he would smile or wink at me or small talk but nothing like we would on the phone and then out of nowhere we fight about something and next thing I know he ignores me the rest of the week which is crazy because we talk everyday an then I ask him if he cared and he said "apparently not" an then we get in a fight about that and we've gone 5 months without talking and I miss him and just want him back I don't know what to do. Also what happened was I was like I can't believe I ever liked you and he was like 'ya it was really obvious' and I told him 'I have liked you last year' which was a lie because this year I was head over heels for him and in those months he would stare at me and I transferred schools bc of health issues and haven't seen him in about 1 month. He normally dates 5-7 girls a year but this year he hasn't dated anyone

Maybe you should be honest with him and let him know, that you liked him this year. I'm not good on relationship advice, but I am sorry you are having to go through this.
