***the handblender I managed to find in the store!

This might come as a shock, but I have a hard time using a regular/standard blender--you know, one of those units with the big glass jar thing with the cover. The last time I used it, it was a disaster and I said to myself, "Not me and that thing ever again." It's my Dad's blender; he's a pro at using it. (It's almost like it takes a magic touch.)

Unfortunately, there are two regular blenders in the house.... I haven't tried the other one because I can't tell the difference between the two. (They look the same.) They are my parents' own, though.

I had a compact one but the cup chipped/cracked and had a hole. I still have the blade and the power unit and would love to find a replacement cup....

Only problem is: I later found out that my compact unit was recalled, so there won't be any replacement cups available, unless I improvise. Interestingly enough, I never goofed up using it.


***the new essential oil I tried. It's called Peru Balsam (Myroxylon balsamum). I actually like how it smells....

this boiled egg slicer.... (for lack of a better term)

I can't believe it actually works. You put the egg in, close the slicer and voila, perfect egg slices....

My dad told me about it and now I am using it today....

Ok, no bread machine for you yet..... how about we tackle the toaster? LOL. I'm happy you are finding joy in the smaller things in life. So often that is hard to do.

the cats I'm seeing in the yard....

Ah... I wish I could make friends with them, but they are scaredy-scaredy.... There are some cute cats I see in the yard every now & then....

I've seen an all white cat.... a white & gray patches type cat..... a gray & black striped cat.... I think there was a white + orange one too.....

It could pass maybe, but I'm not there yet.

I need to go out & get another one in the meantime. Also, I got invited to a beach birthday party.... Odd... but interesting.... Even odder: I actually want to go....

It is probably going to be rained out or so....

I also need to find a bathing suit... um... (that covers my bum entirely, so I don't have a 'nasty' look).... Those can be pretty hard to find.... T.T

On a different note, I was excited about the phone I just got. It is okay. The reception seems to be better. I haven't had any dropped calls yet. The service is a prepaid one. There are more bars in the house in different rooms than with my other phone (contract).

The experiment I'm doing resulted out of curiosity. The service that I receive with my contract phone has deteriorated terribly. Sometimes calls don't connect. The phone doesn't ring on my end. (etc.) It's not only my phone, though. Almost everybody I know has the same problem.

My contract has been up, long ago though, so I'm free to officially end it pretty much anytime.

With the new service, I'm still annoyed. The service is offered, but due to where I live, I couldn't buy anything from the official site.

Why offer a service if I don't have access to it in full? If I want the phone of my choice, I can't go to the official web site & the store doesn't offer it. I may very well have to consider something else. It's just too much of a hassle--having to jump through such hoops over a cellphone. (There are much better things I could do with my time & life!! )
