what can i do to change?

I have great things going for me. I have some great job opportunitites that I have been working so hard to get. But when I get upset about something having nothing to do with this it ruins everything. I am not motivated at all to do anything. I don't want to talk to anyone I don't want to do anything I just keep thinking about the situation that upset me an obssessing over it to the point that I just want to go to sleep and wake up and hope it all goes away. How can I not let things interfere with things I know can better my future?

Hi me. I often do the same thing. If you're able to it might help to try to replace the thought you're obsessing over with a new one. The new one might be a happy memory from the past or visualizing the incident that happened with a positive outcome instead of the negative one. I know how hard and maybe corny that sounds, but it might help. Sometimes I think I obsess over negative things that happen because my brain wants to drown itself in those bad feelings. It's like an addiction. Don't give up hope. I hope you feel better.
