Hey Kacee,
I'm new as well, there are some very helpful people lending some good wisdom on this site...so I'm sure you'll get something useful out of it.
As far as from my experience, the best way to deal with you and your bf's illnesses is to support each other through the tough times,try and be strong when he's down and hopefully he can do so for you as well. You have the unique opportunity to have someone close to you that has/is going through a similar experience, so you can understand each others moods better and provide better support through that understanding. The toughest relationships i have had is when my gf doesn't understand what it is like to have a mental illness, consider this a blessing that he understands where you are coming from and vice versa. So communicate about how you feel as much as possible and hopefully you can both be each others therapy that cures the worst times.
