Why are there so many people introducing themselves but no-one is saying hello?

Hi.
I don't think there are a lot of people who reply on the posts here. A lot of times I don't know what to say when people post. or If I am going to make someone feel better or worse with with what I have to say. I think the chatrooms is where most people go.
