My ex and I split up early in 2003. Once the novelty wore off I wanted my family back. I broke the day I waited 3 hours to borrow $5 from her only to find out she'd spent the morning with someone she met at the club the night before. It was her boots that did it. I saw those clubbing boots and I broke. Wound up in the ER where they placed me in protective custody. Was in the hospital 5 or 6 times in 6 months. Lost my job. Got on disability. I've been in the hospital a few times since then for med adjustments. Most recently back in September. It was really disappointing because I hadn't been in the hospital in 3 years. All I do is sit at home and watch TV. I've looked for volunteer opportunities, but my area's too small for me to find anything. I'd love to start a depressed anonymous meeting, but I can't find anyone to host it. I'd like to be more involved in my church, but I can't get up in time to make it to church. These days I live for those opportunities to see my kids.
