Hello Nansue;

How old are your kids? If they are like me they've been struggling all their lives but haven't always known life should (could) be different. How long has it been since you realized they were depressed?

We're glad you've chosen to post here. I think you've, if not solutions, some solace.

Hi Nansue,
I'm happy you posted. I know it's hard when your kids suffer depression
My son is 21 and has had battles with this, but he doesn't always stick to taking the meds. I think he just doesn't feel like making it to the doctor's appts to stay on them, because he's had a lot of other stuff going on.
Could this be the case with yours? Maybe they don't like the side effects? In this case, the doctor(s) could try something new, maybe space out the appts a bit. Are they in counseling?

Well, I hope that YOU are hanging in there alright! Why don't you pick a day each week called Mom's day, get out, and do something for yourself to unwind. Please keep us posted. :) Wishig you all the best!!

Hi Nansue,
Can definately relate to the overwhelmed part!! Please keep talking. There are times, I know, when it's so overwhelming that it's hard just to get any words out. I've basically been forcing myself, only to be surprised when torrents of words burst forth!

Let it flow when the time is right for YOU though. We're here listening.

I'm sorry Nansue,
That's gotta be infuriating and nerve wracking. It must be obvious that you're having a hard time--Can't he tell? Is he trying to further annoy you? If so, I was gonna suggest a firm but righteous kick in the n***. But that might just make him whistle all the louder! What's a woman to do?? Do you have a sturdy chair and a couple rolls of masking tape. Get him quite and then run a nice bubble bath. Keep me posted! :))
