Hi, I'm Faron, I'm 22 years old and I live in Scotland.
I can safely say I have never even thought about using forums to help with my feelings and frustrations but I figured it wouldn't hurt.
I wouldn't say I spend my life depressed. I spend most of it frustrated and sometimes angry and just run down. I have been diagnosed with depression a couple times, mainly due to the outer stresses in my life.
I'm currently half way through my 3rd year of my degree, I still live at home (just to save money) and the reason I can't move out is because A) I have two horses to look after and B) I see no reason to move 30mins away into a flat in town just to spend a heap of money on rent for a flat when I can save money by staying at home to complete my degree.
My biggest problems in my life are caused by the situations that I am completely incapable of controlling. This mainly includes my parents. I get "depressed" when I feel out on control and when I'm being controlled by the people around me. I never get treated like an adult, despite often acting more adult than both my parents.
I don't really know what this site will help with, but I guess it would be nice to get stuff off my chest.

Hi Portia, welcome to the forum. Please feel free to use the chatroom too.
Going to school and living at home can definately be a stress. It makes sense though. Have you talked to your parents about you'd like to have a little more trust? It can be hard on both the child and the parents.
There are probably others that's gone through the same thing here. But regardless talking can help and this was a good start. I hope you continue to do more.
