Attempting to be Brave

Postby soni » Sat Apr 21, 2012 11:50 pm

I'm having a hard time right now. If I were completly honest I have been depressed most of my life. I've had many more down times than I have had good times.

Recently I've become overwhelmed by the chatter and noise in my head, the confusion and the pain. I hid it for so long, I'm fine, don't worry, it's just a temporary funk. I haven't been fully functioning in months maybe years. A few weeks ago it all came out, I'm in deep dispair and hope for peace.

I wonder how it has come to this, how could I have missed the crash?

Soni,
It is easy for us to miss the crash within ourselves. We tend to deny and push these feelings back over and over again, until finally they are not able to be pushed back any longer and take over. I wish I had an easy fix for you, but I'm afraid I do not. Are you in therapy or seeking treatment for these feelings? That is always a good place to start. Take Care, I look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi Soni, I am sorry you feeling so confused. Life has a way of overwhelming all of us at times and I understand that notion of "missing the crash". If I am not mistaken, you have visited our chat room as well. Chat is a nice place to exchange information and get support for these types of feelings.
Keep posting and know that you are not alone. Take care
