Crossroads

I came to the crossroads one day,
Waiting there for someone to show the way,
The road went east and the road went west,
I searched down each to see which was the best,
But nobody came to show me.

I went down the road to the left and went down, down, down.
My smile was quickly replaced by a frown,
The road led to a demise that was filled with pain,
It was filled with so much rain,
How I wished that somebody would have helped me choose.

I came to another crossroad the other day,
There came someone to show me the way,
The road went east and the road went west,
The road I finally chose was the best,
And a smile replaced the frown.

When someone you know comes to the crossroad of life.
Will you be there to help with the strife?
Helping them choose the right way to go,
Will often help in ways you will not know,
Just be there for them when they need you.
