Happy ever after

My life is hurtful no matter how I plot it
All the wishes I wish for can't stop it
The ache that tears me apart
And allows the flashbacks to start
I can't imagine a pain-free me
Calmly resting with back to a tree
All happy thoughts and nice feelings
Reading letters of warm meanings
No worries about the future of the past
Just laying in the now where nothing is fast
Only honest dear loved ones
No need to go on the escape runs
No matter the wish my life is hard
No human shall ever for me guard
I walk alone the bumpy roads
I wake alone the dreams that in me froze
I can't find a wish to cure me
And bring out a happy pure me
I live because I can't die
I cry and scream and sigh
But all you see is the yelling and laughter
And think "oh you must be living a happy ever after"
It doesn't even exist in my mind
A happy ever after is something I can't find
