Sense of Trust

There was a sense of trust so free,
I trusted people and they trusted me,
Now things are scary and up in the air,
It hurts so much and it is so unfair,
Why did this happen?

A sense of trust would make me smile,
And make so many things worthwhile,
Fear has now taken its' place,
A frown is now upon my face,
Nothing is the same as before.

A sense of trust I had with friends,
Is this where it all ends?
Not trusting them or myself,
Just putting things upon the shelf,
Just because of the lies.

A sense of trust I never should have had,
Now it has been taken and has left me sad,
It has taken friends away,
That I had just the other day,
Will I ever get them back?

A sense of trust I have lost,
It was such a high cost,
It has been replaced with so many fears,
And has shed so many tears,
I just want things the way they were.

Things change hun ... and remember ... only when you let go do you realise who has stuck with you and who weren't true to you after all.
Doesn't make it any easier or take the hurt away unfortunately but we are here to help you get through it as best as we can k?

I understand what you are talking about hon. Just remember, I am a friend that has always been here, you just haven't notice me hiding in the corner.

All will come to a close, it takes time and you know that I have gone through the same as you. But life does go on, and it will be better in the long run. Please believe me and trust me on this one.
