Thiis is the first time I have ever posted anything online. It is a poem that expresses my inner thoughts of my relationship and how it has been affected by my denial of my depression



A BETTER TOMORROW


I have brought you pain
I have brought you sorrow
All I wish for you
Is a better tomorrow.

No more lies
No more deceit
I bow down now
And grovel at your feet

I wish I could take back
All that was done
Go back to the way it was
When you and I were one

I miss your hugs
I miss your smile
I miss how we used to
Sit and snuggle a while

What have I done?
I’ve made such a mess
It’s gotten so bad
That you don’t love me I guess

I don’t blame you
It’s no one’s fault but my own
It’s now time to reap
The seeds that I’ve sown

I ask for forgiveness
I know it will take time
To earn back the trust
That once made you mine

My days are filled with
Thoughts of you
I long for the day
When you do that too

I feel so empty
Without you at my side
I can no longer hold
My head up with pride


How, oh how
Do I let you see
That you are my life
That we were meant to be

Please oh please
Don’t shut the door
I’ll do anything that you ask
To make us one once more

I have brought you pain

Such a lovely poem, it touches my heart and almost makes me want to cry (yes i am very sensitive)
