Poem; Whatever You Want It To Be

by LifeWasBeautiful
Walking on ice, wondering what life has to give me.
To show me why I may be indispensable.

Tread on water, to show miracles.
But that on which you stand, is only there because it fell from the skies.

Miracles are relative to what one has seen.
To jaded eyes, does anything amaze?

You could write me a number.
The trickling of the notes only as the rain.

But as Ive seen,
The doctor’s prescribed me not to feel again.

Of course if you like things that are hollow and vain,
We’re sure to be friends.

However if you want anything but pain,
You’re best to stay away.

As the mirror told me, there’s something lurking
Too much to control, or so they say.

Wander and wait for reason indefinite.
So that maybe it doesn’t have to end this way.
