Depression, loneliness and creativity

Postby Shaji » Wed Sep 03, 2008 4:00 pm

Hi everyone, I'm new in this group. Since my depression is solely from my loneliness, my uneasiness coping with unthinking society, I'm eager to find out if there is any budding writer, poet or artist in this group who is an independent thinker, someone who is passionate about Dostoevsky's, Tolstoy's or Hesse's philosophical works. Please let me know. My email id is [email protected]. Thank you

Hi Shaji, I'm a big fan of Dostoevsky and Hesse. I like all the existentialist writers but Hesse is definitely one of my favorites. I minored in philosophy in college and still love to spend some of my quiet time reading some of my favorite existential writers like Hesse and Camus. I'd have to say that Hesse's Steppenwolf and Sidartha are two of my favorite books.
