a thankyou poem i wrote for a very dear friend :)

Sometimes i feel like there is no-one around,
And all i taste is the silence, defeaning sound.
The foreboding emptiness takes over my being,
And i wonder how something that is nothing, can be so filling.

But then i come into your great presence,
Your light, kindness, sparkling effervesence,
Your formidable strength scintillates with energy,
Bubbling with calmed excitement, my remedy.

You set me free from the ropes i tie around myself.
Give me the key to this self created prison cell.
You unhinge impenatratable chains that are holding me down.
Set me free, so that i can stand up tall, sing out, and be proud.

Gratitude; the grey undertone of colours i wish i could share.
The full fantastic spectrum you deserve, to show i care.
Appreciation isnt enough for the delicate precious gift you gave me; my life:
It is blinding like a blanket of constellations on the midnight backdrop of night.
