Gray
Whether it is the moment of that sky which you long at and wonder why there is no rain
Or if it the tear falling from that duct of your eye
It is forever gray--dark and mystical
The gray seems frozen in time
Impossible to decide whether pure darkness or pure light
It must be somewhere in between
Seldom does it really decide because like emotion it quivers in the night
Truth be told it can not be certain that its right for how the day should be
One does not know--can it be or perhaps the lightning shatters the silence
The momentary brightness on a night that is filled with mystery
Something is coming, perhaps some devastation or perhaps some goodness
All you know is that it is gray
Ground into the night
Round it turns as it begins to frighten you
All of time seems to stop
Young as you are don't be scared, it will all be over soon
Tis gray the sky and no moon will share its light with you
Nor will the stars shine their brightness for it is simply gray
