Alone

sitting up top the mountain side
staring into the heavens
among the stars is where i hide
from the outside looking in
where did i go wrong in this life
why do i have to bare the cross alone
searching through the stormy clouds
i have no where to really call home
on a pilgramage of mental anguish
full of rage and hate and guilt
struggling to grow amongst the tangled weeds
with little hope i wither and wilt
each brick wall another blow
at every turn no where to go
alone in my misery
trapped in a body that has forsaken me
as i fall to my scraped and bloody knees
scream to the heavens i beg and plead
to release me from this life of pain
but not even a sound is heard
nothing, not even a whisper
standing on top the mountain side
there is no one here
no where to hide
from the outside looking in
my soul withering in pain
tears falling down my cheeks
alone in my misery.
