Someone Special

You came into my life one day,
And promised that you would stay,
No matter how much i try to turn and run,
You are there when day is done,
Always loving me.

You never tire of hearing about my fears,
And often are understanding of my tears,
You always have a loving word and smile,
That shines across the many miles
And brightens my day.

You promise to be always be by my side,
No matter how many times i am battered by the tide,
We share our good times and our bad,
And try to cheer each other when we are sad,
If even for a moment.
