Already Gone [original poem]

Look her in the eyes
Feel the pain she feels
See through her disguise
And the hurt she conceals

She's been through too much
For a young girl her age
She won't let you touch
She wants to be free from her cage

She won't talk to anyone
She can't even trust
Her life has scarcely begun
And yet it's starting to rust

Someone has to save her
She feels so alone
She needs a saviour
She's worn to the bone

She appears to be fine
But don't let her fool you
She doesn't want to whine
But inside she's so blue

And now she's in too deep
She's so very withdrawn
She's starting to sleep
She's already gone
