Does anyone else feel overly "tired"? I feel it all the time. Is it normal?

Being lethargic/tired and/or sleeping too much (or too little) are common symptoms of depression, and can also be induced as a side effect of some medications...when I first started taking the wellbutrin in generic again, I was drained and sleepy...but I've adjusted...unfortunately, part of my depression and medications just mean I sleep more than most and can accomplish less than some others. But that's okay, some days are better than others, and I have to be satisfied with what I can do...

Exercise can help; my doctor has been bugging me to get back to exercising...it helps with the depression and the tired feeling, I know from when I used to be more active...also, I am watching what I am eating a little more as poor diet can exacerbate the problem.

Unfortunately, its just a side-effect of the disease for many of us, and many of the anti-depressants can make us a little more tired than most in some people.

Wishing you peace and light in your day...

A few years ago, I felt tired.... It was more like extra low energy.... Was unable to do much of any thing.

It is better now, but I do get that occasionally.

I felt very tired in Summer of last year. It was partly the depression and anxiety, partly the fact that I was eating very little, and partly because I was so depressed and anxious that I was hardly exercising or leaving the house. However, my tiredness was also partly caused by a previously undiagnosed inherited genetic blood disorder.
So, in my completely non-expert opinion (! ), your tiredness is very likely a symptom of depression itself. But, perhaps you might want to speak to a doctor about your tiredness, if you haven't already done so? Just to be absolutely sure that your depression isn't " masking " some other physical illness or condition, as it was in my case. I have a suspicion that this is relatively unlikely. But, better safe than sorry? If your doctor tells you that your tiredness is caused by depression alone, then that might be reassuring for you perhaps?
