A Good Soul

when i was in hard times i had to get a pay advance, which was a last resort but I needed to eat.
The guy who helped me out was very courteous, and I was able to pay for rent and food. I remember he had very clear blue eyes and seemed so nice.
At the front of the office he had a display for a contest
The winner got a bbq grill, fishing poles, and tackle box.
I entered of course and a few weeks later they called me and said I had won!
I went down there to pick up my prizes and asked about the guy who helped me.
They said him and his son were killed in a car accident a few days ago, and they said he rigged that contest and just told them to call me, that I had won!
I think about that and I believe everyone has a purpose in this world, no matter how big or small. He really helped me when I needed it, and I wanted to thank him and never got the chance to.
