When the World Scares You

Postby CitM » Mon Apr 08, 2013 2:40 pm

I know that in the news there are all sorts of things that might make a person with anxiety feel less than brave.

For example, let's take the current news topic, North Korea. First, let me express that I have respect for all nations because it's not easy sometimes trying to steer a nation to a brighter tomorrow and every government of every nation has their battles.

But here's the thing about what has been going on over in North Korea, they have been posturing for YEARS about battling some other country. The culture in Korea is different than the culture in the west. It's not bad, just different. I'm a lot less worried about a country who talks about their aggressive feelings than I am about a country with nuclear weapons that has been destabilized and God only knows who has those nukes, you know what I'm saying?

No country that I know of, is interested in invading for any reason by any method, North Korea. I know the US certainly is not. In fact, if there is a problem, something we can help with through normal channels, I'm sure the countries around the world are capable of giving an opinion or two. However, nothing will be forced, except when it comes to nuclear attack.

If that should happen and N.K. attacks another country with those kind of weapons, I'm sure that the countries around the world will just shut down North Korea. No one wants that. Korea has a great culture.

So pray for those people as much as you can, or if you don't believe in that, perhaps think peaceful thoughts their way. It does help. It helps you feel like you can do something positive and it can't hurt.

However, I'm of the opinion right now, that North Korea will calm down. The only 'ghosts' haunting anyone, is family members who love their kids and grandkids, etc. Nothing else. Ok... occasionally, I hear from wonderful people who have passed on, but that's another story and not scary at all and they are not forced to stay with me, as I would never deprive family of good people, ever.
