what was I thinking?

Postby ButterflyKisses » Mon Oct 08, 2007 5:25 am

I'm feeling foolish, silly and embarrased.

I don't want to talk about why...I guess I just need to let it out.

:?:  :(

Butterflykisses,

Won't ask why, just letting you know that I read and replied. Take care.

ButterflyKisses,

I'm sorry you're feeling embarrassed/foolish about something.

I too won't ask what it is, but curiosity is killing me!

I hope you get over these awkward feelings soon. Are you sure whatever it is, is best let go?

Stephen

thanks Jeanie and Stephen. Your thoughts and well wishes helped.
I'm really trying to put the whole situation/feelings behind me. Not easy for me to do either!
I'm sorry I couldn't share at the time I posted it. Sometimes you just have to get something out of your system before you can even put it into words.
Thanks again you two!

YW Jen. I understand about trying to get things and people out of your system, your life. It isn't easy, but it can be done. Working on that myself.

Again, I am sorry for the results of one chatter toward you the other night.

Know you are working at settling the situation, good luck with it.

I totally agree, and I'm glad you were at least able to allude to the fact that something was troubling you.

I hope things are resolved now.

Well, Stephen I wouldn't say they were resolved, but getting better. Thats all I can hope for at this point.

Thanks you two!

sometimes these days, its easier for me to just forget about horrible things that someone has done to me, then to think them out and hash, and rehash. Its very draining. :?

I think there's a fine line between going over and over something just for the sake of it, and being able to take the bad experience, thinking about it and learning from it. The latter being very hard to do... I just don't know if hiding, and closing things away is helpful in the long run.

I've tried to repress a lot of things that have occurred to me in my life, but ultimately I've found working through them with a therapist is the most productive way forward.

But that's just me. Everyone's different.

I hope you're doing well Jen.

I understand your point Stephen. I tend to hash things out to the point of exhaustion. Does that makes sense? I over think things way too easily. A bad habit I picked up from my Mom. Don't get me wrong either...I never forget the things I try to repress. lol They tend to rear their ugly heads, when a heated argument over something unrelated occurs. Another bad habit I'm always trying to work on!
