I wrote this awhile ago, but it really fits the subject;


BLOCKED

THE PEN HANGS
JUST ABOVE THE PAGE
A LEGION OF THOUGHTS
WANTING TO BE SET DOWN
WHICH IS TO BE FIRST
HOW TO FINISH
AS ONE PRESENTS AND FORMS INSIDE
ANOTHER PUSHES IT ASIDE
AND IS IN TURN
OBSCURED BY A THIRD
AS THE TORENT CONTINUES
A FLASHFLOOD OF WAYS
TO COMMIT AN IDEA
TO VERBALIZE FEELING
TO LEAVE SOMETHING BEHIND
OF WHAT WAS MY MIND.

I guess you are having a hard time putting down your thoughts....

I am, Gods damn it!
Also explaining logic process', significant events, things that have help me cope, getting it into the right order and I admit to a little procrastination. but each draft gets a bit better so I'll stick at it till I'm finished.

The wierd thing is I wrote this poem years ago when I had the start of one completely different in my head. I sat down to make a note of it, but found myself staring at the paper with the pen poised just above it. Hense the first line, and the rest wrote itself.

You will get it done! You can do it!

Just remember: Don't beat up yourself too much in the process, though!

It will come to you when the time is right! Maybe you can even do it in bits & pieces if that is better for you.
