Looking forward to:

Continuing to re-read the Lensman series of books by E.E. " Doc " Smith.

Visiting my friend at his comic shop on Saturday.

Continuing to tidy/unclutter my home!

Catching up on my unread back-issues of Astro City, Buffy The Vampire-Slayer, etc...

Relaxing at home while reading a biography of General Henri Guisan, Commander-In-Chief of the Swiss army during World War 2. ( I tend to read this at home rather than anywhere else as this book, while very good, weighs about a ton! But, I have an interest in history, including the more obscure parts of it. Obscure at least from the British perspective, I hasten to add! )

More Sherlock Holmes TV episodes from Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. Apparently the first mini-series of three ninety minute stories have been such a success that the BBC is apparently very interested in making some more. YAY! )

Continuing putting my life back together, by the Grace of God, and enjoying what is actually fairly good, sunny weather. ( At least by South Wales standards. There may be Californians here who are perhaps used to more sun!!!! )

I'm looking forward to my new medication kicking in and turning me into the patron saint of mental health!!!! (hmmmm, never gonna happen)

I'm looking forward to going to a 'Mad Hatter's tea party' for my friend's girlfriend's birthday on Sunday

I'm looking forward to building up the motivation, the self-confidence (and the will to shave my legs!) to go swimming sometime soon (I keep saying!) for the first time in a couple of years

I'm looking forward to seeing an adviser on Friday about my DLA tribunal. Yes I have one now! Hopefully he will help me get some desperately-needed money and i will have someone to help prove i'm genuinely sick to the evil bureaucratic powers that be!!!!

I'm looking forward to:

My next counselling session, this evening, as I'm finding them helpful. Particularly in working through my feelings about myself, having a more positive self-image, being more hopeful about my future, and working through my feelings about what I want that future to be.

The next new episode of Smallville, season 9 is now being shown on E4. Yay! 8) :D

Continuing to look forward!!!! 8)

That's great to hear Tacking, I'm really glad you've got a counsellor you feel comfortable working with and that you're feeling positive.

I'm looking forward to the weather hopefully picking up again a bit and salvaging the last few weeks of summer

I'm looking forward to being referred to the mental health Recovery team and getting longer-term support which I was told about today after my temporary support worker and psychiatrist were apparently 'very concerned' about me (hmm, not surprising,i've been a complete headcase the last few appointments)

I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing my dad sometime soon, have always been a real daddy's girl

Thanks (((( lisalou ))))!
I hope that your meeting with your adviser on Friday goes well. ( Please remember that not all bureaucrats are evil! Some are just baffled, would-be-superheroes who sometimes have difficulty finding their own desks.! :? Unfortunately, that is not a figure of speech. I got into work this morning and was a little surprised to find the room almost empty, instead of containing a dozen or so people doing the initial sorting and counting of post as would usually be the case first thing in the morning. I'd been there about five minutes before a co-worker of mine appeared and explained that the initial sorting and counting of post was now taking place in a different room. Apparently, this had been decided yesterday. I'd had the afternoon off, and the decision had been taken after I'd left! :?
So, you see? Not all bureaucrats are evil...Of course I am talking about bureaucrats who DON'T work for the benefits system... )

I'm looking forward to:

Starting to re-read the third book in E.E. " Doc " Smith's Lensmen series. ( Will Kimball Kinnison track down Helmuth, arch-pirate of the spaceways?! :o )

The result of the Australian General Election. ( I'm rooting for the Australian Labour party's leader Julia Gillard. She was born in Bridgend, South Wales, before her family emigrated to Australia. So, as far as I'm concerned she is still Welsh 8) , and therefore SHOULD be Prime Minister of Australia, rather than Kevin Abbot, who is not Welsh at all  . )

And, the last Monday in August is a public holiday! Yay! :D

Blimey, the whole world's gonna become Welsh!

I'm looking forward to.... the new series of X Factor starting on Saturday (v similar to American Idol my American friends although it has bands on too) I'm clearly not as intellectual as you Tacking, and quite possibly a bit sadistic as i do have a good laugh at all the appalling singers in the audition stages

...my dinner. shall i do fish, potatoes and peas or Toad in the hole? (again - for the purpose of non-Brits,I hasten to explain this is sausages stuck in a batter pudding and contains no amphibious creatures whatsoever!!!!!)

....hopefully going to see Shrek 4 if it's still on and i can squeeze out the money this week

...planning my outfit for the mad hatter's tea party i mentioned before. I'm going to be Alice. And mad.
