Forum vs Chat Room

Postby crystalgaze » Fri Oct 23, 2009 1:44 pm

I didn't know where to put this but felt it was an appropriate thread/topic on here....

Forum vs. Chat Room: Which do you like better?

Right now, I like the forum. Chat is okay, but I need to get adjusted to it...

personally, i like them both equally. i've been using the chatroom for about 2 years now and the forums for a while also... i guess i've adjusted to them equally and dont have much of a difference anymore. there are just times where the forums get overwhelming to read all the posts and reply to them because when i see lots of words all at once i flip out mentally and cant focus...

I haven't tried the chat rooms yet. I really like the forums though.

I have now tried the chat and found it to be very lonely...people all knew each other and had their chats going and I was an outsider. I like the forum better.

I like the forums better.

Think it is because if I feel that I have to make a reply to something right away, I am afraid of somehow saying the wrong thing.

I may still sometimes say the wrong things in the forum but at least I have given it a little thought before I put my foot into my mouth.

After trying it for a while, I think both can be pretty cool! ;)

I tried the chat room for the first time earlier, wasn't sure what to make of it. I guess it's always helpful to have somewhere where you'll get a more instant response if you're having a tough day. Will probably keep going between both for the time being.
