Darkness
Darkness surrounds my heart and my soul…
I can feel it beginning to take its toll..

I see couples and people happy and glad…
I laugh and I smile but inside I’m sad…

Will I ever feel peaceful and content once again…
The way my life turned out wasn’t the plan…

The days of my life drag on forever…
The pain and hurt I feel,will it ever get better…

Lost and lonely ,angry and scared…
Right now I don’t think anyone cares…

No one knows just how empty I feel…
Please someone tell me this bad dream isn’t real…

You are very articulate. I think that your poem probably hit home with a lot of the people that read it.

It is probably very theraputic to use your talent in this way.
